Tottenham Hotspur could be losing out on another transfer target as FC Porto winger Luis Diaz might be heading to the Premier League, but not to north London. According to O Jogo, Liverpool has made an offer for the 25-year-old.

The Premier League rival has reportedly placed a €45-million bid with €15-million in add-ons. The Portuguese media outlet states that Diaz wants a bigger club that fights for titles and goes to the Champions League and, therefore, prefers a move to The Reds.

Porto wants a fee close to the €80-million release clause on the Colombia international’s contract. Liverpool’s offer does meet that with the add-ons to bump the sum to €60-million, possibly if Diaz hits the objectives.

It remains to be seen whether the agreement between the parties implies the immediate departure of the player or whether the transfer will only take place at the end of the season.

After reportedly losing out on Adama Traoré, it will be another blow to Spurs to strike out on Diaz and have the winger play in the Premer League, except it could be at Anfield and not north London.
