Report: Tottenham have agreed a deal to sign striker

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham Hotspur have been actively investing in the club’s future by bringing in young talent.

Under Ange Postecoglou’s tenure, Spurs have signed several emerging prospects such as Ashley Phillips, Alejo Veliz, Luka Vuskovic and Lucas Bergvall in recent months.

The latest reports indicate that the Lilywhites have agreed a deal to sign the highly-rated teenage striker George Feeney.

That’s according to Football Insider, which claims that the North London club have emerged victorious in the competition to secure the signing of Glentoran’s young attacker.

At just 16 years old, Feeney is considered one of Northern Ireland’s top footballing talents.

He made his debut for Glentoran’s first team last September at the tender age of 15, after progressing through the club’s academy.

This season, he has featured in nine Premiership games, Northern Ireland’s top division, and made an additional appearance in the Irish League Cup.

The talented striker’s first senior goal came in the Northern Ireland Football League Cup against Dollingstown in October.

Feeney, who is the son of former Northern Ireland international Warren Feeney, had several Premier League clubs vying for his signature, but seems like Tottenham have won the battle.

The move to Tottenham is expected to see George Feeney initially join the club’s U18 and U21 teams. His progress will be closely monitored, with the aim of integrating him into the first team as he develops.

His signing is part of a broader trend at Spurs, where the club is actively investing in its future by acquiring young talent.

Recent signings, including those mentioned above highlight Tottenham’s commitment to nurture and develop young players under Postecoglou’s tenure.
