Report – Tottenham finally set to name their new manager

Tottenham is closing in on making Nuno Espirito Santo their next manager and they will hold face-to-face talks with him in London today, The Athletic reports.

Spurs have been searching for a new manager since April when they sacked Jose Mourinho.

They have missed out on the likes of Antonio Conte and Paulo Fonseca, but they will now get a manager that did some good work while in the hot seat at Wolves.

The report says the new Tottenham director of football, Fabio Paratici arrived in London yesterday and will lead talks with the Portuguese boss, who came into town today.

While they have struggled to appoint a host of other targets, they are confident that they can make Santo their next boss.

It says they have already held discussions with him and talks are at an advanced stage.

Spurs start preseason on the 5th of July and the Lilywhites are confident that they will have named him as their next manager before then and he will take charge of the first training sessions.

Santo didn’t win a trophy in the Premier League with Wolves, but he helped them get promoted from the championship and established them as one of the hardest clubs to play again.
