Report: Tottenham eye Fiorentina midfielder to replace Tanguy Ndombele

Tottenham Hotspur wants to move on from Tanguy Ndombele as they’re reportedly having talks with Paris Saint-Germain over the 25-year-old. Furthermore, it seems as though the north London club already has a target in mind to replace the outgoing midfielder.

Sky Sport Italia (via TuttoMercatoWeb) reports that Tottenham could go after ACF Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat if Ndombele leaves the club before the January transfer window closes.

The Italian media outlet claims that manager Antonio Conte has identified Amrabat as a possible replacement for the France international should he complete a move to Paris.

Amrabat has made 11 appearances for the Italian, playing the majority of the time as a defensive midfielder, and is under contract until 2024, so the Serie A side will have to ponder whether it wants to sell him.

When it comes to the possible cost, Transfermarkt puts the Morocco international’s value at £8-million, so Tottenham wouldn’t be breaking the bank for him if they do indeed pursue Amrabat.
