Report: Tottenham could bid for €40m-rated South American

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Brazilian forward Endrick.

The 16-year-old is highly rated in South America and the likes of Barcelona, Manchester United and Newcastle United are keen on securing his services as well.

Although the youngster is yet to make his debut for the Palmeiras first team, he is making waves with his performances for the Brazilian club’s under-20 side.

Recently Endrick helped them win the Copinha, also known as the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior. It is a tournament that showcases Brazil’s best young talents and Endrick helped his side win their first-ever Copinha trophy.

According to journalist Jorge Nicola (h/t Sportwitness), Tottenham Hotspur are one of the few clubs looking to sign the players and they are expected to submit a bid for the youngster in the near future.

The South American forward has a release clause of €40 million and it will be interesting to see if Spurs are willing to break the bank for his services.

The Londoners will have seen how the likes of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo have developed since their move to Europe and the investment in Endrick could prove to be a masterstroke in the long run as well.

The 16-year-old is an instinctive finisher, but he is more than just a goalscorer. Endrick can carry the ball forward with his impressive dribbling ability and physicality. Furthermore, his flair and agility allow him to operate in wide areas as well.

Endrick has the potential to develop into a top-class player in the future and working with a manager like Antonio Conte could accelerate this development.
