Report: Tottenham challenges Inter Milan for Udinese’s £15M talent

Tottenham Hotspur made their first summer signing when they landed Ivan Perišić to help improve their left wing-back role, but the north London club might not be done strengthening that position.

According to Italian football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Spurs are interested in Udinese left-back Destiny Udogie. For now, there is no negotiation for the player. Tottenham has not yet made an offer to Udinese for Udogie.

Nonetheless, the Premier League side isn’t the only team expressing interest in the youngster. Inter Milan is also eyeing the 19-year-old as they look for a replacement for Perišić.

This past season, Udogie made 37 appearances for the Serie A side, scoring five goals and recording three assists. When it comes to a possible transfer fee, Transfermarkt puts the teenager’s value at £15.3-million.

Udogie is under contract with Udinese until 2026, so the Italian club doesn’t need to sell unless a club meets whatever asking price they see fit for the left-back.
