Report: Spurs star wants a move to Euro giants ‘at all costs’, Paratici already has spoken with club director

Tottenham Hotspur defender Japhet Tanganga is reportedly keen on a move to AC Milan this summer.

The 23-year-old defender struggled for regular first-team football at the London club last season and he is hoping to leave in search of more game time.

Milan are reportedly keen on strengthening their defensive options, and they have identified the Spurs youngster as a potential target.

According to a report from Calciomercato the likes of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara ‘have already talked about’ the move with the Tottenham director Fabio Paratici and the player has his heart set on joining the Italian champions.

Apparently, Tanganga had ‘several offers’ from the Premier League but he has turned them down and Milan is his preferred destination.

The Londoners have recently signed Clement Lenglet from Barcelona on loan and Tanganga is set to drop further down the pecking order. A move away from Spurs would be the ideal situation for him right now.

The 23-year-old is a talented player who has the potential to develop into a reliable defender in the future. Milan could certainly provide him with the platform to express himself and fulfil his potential with regular first-team action.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to sanction his departure in the coming weeks. Ideally, the Londoners should look to include a buy-back clause in his contract so that they can bring him back if he manages to continue his development and impress in Italian football.
