Report: Spurs player set to miss the rest of the season with injury in ‘devastating’ blow

Tottenham defender Ryan Sessegnon has had the most unfortunate of season with injuries.

He suffered a hamstring injury in the summer during pre-season training and had to undergo a subsequent surgery which kept him out until January.

He returned for the FA Cup game against Burnley and played the final 10 minutes before picking up a knock which kept him out for another few weeks.

Returning in the U21s game against West Ham last month, he only lasted 37 minutes before picking up yet another hamstring injury.

The club confirmed that the 23-year-old underwent a successful surgery but the player is set to miss 3 months of action.

And according to Football Insider, the latest setback serves as a ‘devastating’ blow to his career.

The report claims that he is set to miss the rest of the season as the club does not expect him to be back until the 2024/25 pre-season.

Questions have risen regarding his Tottenham career as well with some reports suggesting the club could consider moving him on due to his injury problems and signing a suitable replacement for Destiny Udogie.
