Report: Spurs are prepared to finance ‘huge’ move for prolific attacker

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur could look to bring in attacking reinforcements before the summer transfer window closes.

According to a report from Football Insider, the North London outfit have now set aside a ‘huge’ budget to sign a ‘prolific’ striker to replace Harry Kane.

The England international joined Bayern Munich in a deal worth around £86 million earlier this summer. The package could rise to £100 million including add-ons.

The 30-year-old was one of the best players in the world and replacing him will be quite a challenge for Spurs.

Apparently, they are keeping tabs on the Gent striker Gift Orban, who has been in scintillating form this season. The 21-year-old has scored six goals in six matches so far this season and he managed to score 20 goals across all competitions last season.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can bring in the right replacement for Kane before the window closes.

They will be desperate to get back into the Champions League and they cannot hope to do so without a reliable goalscorer.

Richarlison has been tipped to replace the England international this season, but the Brazilian has been quite underwhelming since his move to the North London club.

He has not been able to score goals consistently and it would be foolish of Ange Postecoglou to rely on him to replace the goalscoring output of Harry Kane.
