Report Reveals Which Spurs Player Has Just 9 Games To Save His Career

Erik Lamela reportedly faces a make-or-break spell at Tottenham which will determine whether he will be a part of Jose Mourinho’s future plans.

Football Insider understands that the 28-year-old winger has the final nine games of this season to convince Mourinho he is worth keeping around.

Spurs face a summer of scrapping around for loans and free transfers to improve the squad unless they can generate money from player sales.

And Football Insider’s exclusive suggests that Lamela will be put on the market this summer if he fails to impress over the season’s completion.

They do add though that the Argentine is poised to be given a fair chance to stake his case, so we can expect him to feature quite prominently in the coming months.

It would be so typical of Lamela’s time with us for him to put together one of his misleading runs of form and earn himself Mourinho’s trust, only to get injured next season and the whole cycle start again.

We need to break the cycle; we need to sell him regardless.
