Report reveals what Euro giants must do to sign 26-year-old Tottenham star

Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months.

The 26-year-old has established himself as one of the best central defenders in the league and his performances have attracted the attention of Real Madrid. According to HITC, the Spanish giants are keeping tabs on his progress and they could look to make a move for him in the near future.

Real Madrid must bring a quality long-term alternative to David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger. Romero would be a superb acquisition. He is a world-class player and he has helped his country win the World Cup and the Copa America.

Romero has the quality to thrive in La Liga and he could transform Real Madrid defensively. However, the report states that Real Madrid would have to pay a colossal fee in order to convince Tottenham to sell the South American defender.

Romero is an indispensable asset for Tottenham and they will not want to lose him easily. It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid are ready to break the bank for him.

They are one of the biggest clubs in the world and the opportunity to play for them will be quite attractive for the defender. He will certainly be attracted to the idea of joining them if the opportunity presents itself. Romero will be hoping to win major trophies at club level now, and a move to Real Madrid could help him fulfil his ambitions.
