Report: PSG sets asking price for Tottenham transfer target

The midfield will be an area of the squad that Tottenham will be looking to upgrade this summer. Over the past few weeks, various players have been connected to the north London club; one of them is Paris Saint-Germain’s Leandro Paredes

As noted by La Gazzetta dello Sport, PSG is open to selling the 27-year-old this summer. Paredes is under contract for another year, but the capital club has put the price on the Argentine ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Italian media outlet adds that Les Parisiens has set a €15 million asking price for Paredes, who plays most of the time as a defensive midfielder. Along with the connection to Tottenham, the midfielder is also drawing interest from Inter Milan.

Paredes spent some time in Italy during his stints at four Serie A clubs, including one season with AS Roma. As a result, Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici would have seen the PSG midfielder play, so it comes as no surprise why Spurs has an interest.

Over the past year, Tottenham has purchased two midfielders in Pape Matar Sarr and Rodrigo Bentancur, so Paredes could be added to this group if Spurs indeed decide to pursue him.
