Report: Premier League side views Dele Alli as an alternative to Jesse Lingard

LONDON, ENGLAND - NOVEMBER 04: Dele Alli of Tottenham Hotspur arrives at the stadium prior to the UEFA Europa Conference League group G match between Tottenham Hotspur and Vitesse at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on November 04, 2021 in London, England. (Photo by Alex Pantling/Getty Images)

The January window opens in a few days, and it seems as though Dele Alli’s time with Tottenham Hotspur is coming to an end. Spurs reportedly are open to letting the 25-year-old depart.

One of the clubs now eyeing Alli is West Ham United. According to Eurosport, The Hammers view Alli as a possible alternative if they cannot land Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard.

West Ham, like Tottenham, is in the middle of a fight for a top-four spot in the Premier League and qualified for the knockout stages of the UEFA Europa League. So Alli would have plenty of opportunities to resurrect his past form and remain in London, should that be important to him.

Alli needs to find a team willing to take a chance on him and provide playing time as the midfielder hopes to find his way back into the England national team, with 2022 being a World Cup year.

Furthermore, it seems as though it’s best for both parties to part ways. So Tottenham can proceed with their project under Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici and manager Antonio Conte.

The prices on transfermarkt are as accurate as you’re going to get.. In fact Clubs, scouts and agents are all known to use it across the board for some time now… Whats Kane worth on there now 110 mil?. What has Dele dropped to 26mil? Always about right on there.. They take into account everything, ability, age, performance. etc.. You can see players value go up and down over time…. Now even after the dear flops like Ndom, LoCelso and Sanchez, we still have a more valuable squad than the gooners… And i bet those three record signings are all worth half of what we payed or what they were worth…

That would be the yardstick – by that comparison, even the goners have a significantly better squad. Bar the obvious few, no one will pay anything much for our dross.

Try selling them for what they are allegedly worth and see how many takers there are.

I’m not going to mention the likes of Soldado and N’Dombele.

They will probably be doing the same for Aubameyang shortly.

What that website won’t tell you about is things like the portion of wages they’re still paying Ozil to get him away to Fenerbahçe. It used to be officially much higher when he was registered as an Arsenal player. That made it closert to double.

Transfer valuations on transfer markt are as accurate as you can get… Spurs wages are 78 odd million, Arsenals are 99 odd million.. Nowhere near double.

That’s why he put in a zero carbon cabbage patch at ‘Hotspot Way’, we might not win any trophies but we’re out virtue signaling everyone…

Players are only ‘worth’ what someone is prepared to pay. Compare their wage bill, it’s about double ours.

The present day Arsenal are no yard-stick. As poorly run as Spurs, with an equally questionable ownership model…

And they’re still bang average… Even if they did beat the much overhyped Spams…

Our squad according to transfermarkt is 9th in the world, worth 627 mil now.. The Gooners are 13th, their squad is worth around 500 mil. When Kane gets back to form we’ll be fine.

I know he is conseding goals, and he has no defense in front of him,but I think Meslier would be an excellent successsor to Lloris.I wonder if he had a word with him recently. We could do worse than signing Dallas as well.

Arse’s bench worth over a £100m, ours 99p.
Their attack is so much better than ours, we’re ponderous by comparison.

With the bevy of fixtures upcoming and the inevitable Harry injury I don’t see Dele or anyone leaving as everyone needed that can possibly put the onion in the bag.

What amazes me is that having matches postponed still leaves us in 7th. spot. There’s no consistency amongst the teams around us.

I’d love Dele to go to Spam and stick a spanner in their works. Can’t see this happening tbh. Why would they want him?
What’s the betting that January will be just a damp squib in transfers, the media will connect us with all manner of quality players to take us to the next level but Levy will stop Paratici from buying any of them, and we’ll end up with a couple of nobodies in positions we don’t need cover. A normal Levy transfer window screw up in other words. A leopard never changes it’s spots.
