With the January transfer window approaching, Tottenham are a club that are expected to have a busy window.
Ange Postecoglou’s side is going through a injury crisis that has seen their already thin squad get even more depleted.
Injuries to Micky van de Ven and Eric Dier means they are now without a natural senior centre-back with Romero being the only option.
The manager has admitted that they will be looking to sign another defender in the upcoming window.
Similarly, there is a midfield shortage as well with James Maddison and Rodrigo Bentancur currently out injured and Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr expected to be unavailable for several weeks due to the AFCON which starts in January,
And in attack, injuries to Manor Solomon and Ivan Perisic leaves Ange short of left-sided attackers.
Son has played most games upfront this season but moved to the left against Newcastle with Richarlison starting upfront.
However, Son is also expected to miss 6 games starting January due to the Asian Cup games leaving another void for the club to fill.
But there are players that are expected to leave in January as well, with a latest report from Football London mentioning six players who could be on their way out.
Hugo Lloris is one of them. His career at the club has come to an end and is going to be leaving for free in the summer anyways. But there is a chance he could leave early in January. Newcastle are said to be interested in signing him on loan after the long-term injury to Nick Pope.
Eric Dier is another player whose contract ends in the summer and has fallen out of favour under Ange Postecoglou. He is being linked with a move away in January as well with clubs likes AS Roma and Bayern Munich reportedly interested in him.
Meanwhile Giovani Lo Celso is being linked with a January exit as well with Barcelona holding a strong interest in signing him. Spurs reportedly are not keen on a loan move and would only be willing to part ways with him on a permanent deal.
Ivan Perisic has already played his last game for the club with his current injury expected to keep him out for the rest of the season. Despite his injury, reports from Croatia previously suggested that he could be set to return to his boyhood club Hajduk Split.
Ryan Sessegnon and one of either Brandon Austin or Alfie Whiteman are two other names mentioned in the report who could be set for exits in the upcoming window.
