Report: Manchester United makes contract offer to Tottenham target

Tottenham Hotspur is in the market for a midfielder that can bring some offense to their squad, and the name that’s been connected to the north London club is their former player Christian Eriksen. However, they aren’t the only ones expressing interest in the 30-year-old.

Manchester United has been the other club linked to the Denmark international, and The Athletic reports Manchester United has made an offer to sign Eriksen. However, there’s no further information on the deal The Red Devils have proposed to the midfielder.

Spurs boss Antonio Conte has had Eriksen during his time at Inter Milan, so the prospects of a reunion at a club the Dane knows well is a possibility.

Eriksen signed a short-term deal earlier this year with Brentford, where he impressed and helped The Bees remain in the Premier League after they won seven of their last 11 games.

The midfielder’s deal expires later this month, and Brentford has been very interested in extending Eriksen’s tenure in west London. Still, last month Eriksen said he was considering multiple possibilities from numerous clubs.
