Report: Man United, Tottenham among the clubs eyeing Wolves’ £36M talent

After five years with the Premier League club, Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves is ready for the next chapter of his career. According to 90min, Tottenham Hotspur are one of the several clubs eyeing the 25-year-old.

Joining Spurs in this possible pursuit are Arsenal, Manchester United, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid. The report also states that Neves has informed Wolves of his desire to explore other options.

Although no club can be considered a frontrunner at the moment, there’s plenty of interest due to sides monitoring the situation. Despite dealing with an injury, the Portugal international has made 31 appearances scoring four goals and recording two assists.

With the FIFA World Cup right around the corner, Neves undoubtedly wants to play at a club with a higher profile that would allow him to play and lockdown a spot on the Portugal national team heading to Qatar later this year.

The report doesn’t state how much it will cost, but Transfermarkt puts Neves’ transfer value at £36-million.
