Report: Man United joins Tottenham in the pursuit of the Brentford midfielder

Tottenham Hotspur wants to bring a creative midfielder to their squad next season to improve their attack from the position. The north London club is linked to a former player of theirs to fill this need on their team heading into the 2022-23 campaign.

Spurs have been linked to Brentford midfielder Christian Eriksen, whose deal with The Bees expires in a couple of weeks. However, as the 30-year-old ponders his future and Tottenham is reportedly interested, but they’re not the only Premier League club eyeing the Denmark international.

According to Mirror, Manchester United has joined the race to sign Eriksen as new manager Erik ten Hag is looking for midfield reinforcements. Furthermore, the Netherlands tactician is looking to spread his budget as far as possible as he plans to bring in six new signings this summer.

During his last few months with Brentford, Eriksen has shown that he is back to his best form. Inter Milan had initially released him when he had to be equipped with an implantable cardiovascular defibrillator when he suffered a cardiac arrest while with Denmark at the Euros nearly a year ago.
