Report: Lyon wants to extend the loan deal of Tanguy Ndombele into next season

Tottenham Hotspur said goodbye to several players during the January transfer window, one of them being Tanguy Ndombele. The midfielder failed to impress since arriving in 2019, and after two and a half, Spurs decided to part ways sending the 25-year-old.

Spurs sent Ndombele on a loan deal back to Olympique Lyonnais. The agreement expires in June, and the French club will need to exercise the £54-million option to make his stay permanent.

However, Jeunes Footeux reports that Lyon is working to extend Ndombele on loan for the 2022-23 campaign. The Ligue 1 side cannot afford the permanent clause in the midfielder’s loan deal.

Ndombele has no future at Tottenham, but it’s hard to imagine any club forking over £54-million for Ndombele this summer. If the north London club wants to sell off the midfielder, they’ll need to lower the price and bite that they’ll lose money on this transaction for the amount they initially invested.

So much for online twerps saying Lyon buying N’Dombele back for £54m was some sort of a Levy masterclass! Basically that money is down the pan in todays financial climate. We hugely overpaid for him, Levy must of had a massive brain fart that day.

BT you know Levy just cannot do that he will tell him to come back and suggest to Conte he could be our new Victor Moses or even Lloris’s understudy.

Lyon pulling a “Levy”. I don’t care, just get rid even if it means going down the Dele route. It’s a buyer’s market re Ndombele
