Out of favour Tottenham defender Eric Dier has been linked with a surprise move to Bayern Munich.
Ange Postecoglou does not seem to fancy the Englishman too much. He is yet to feature for Spurs this season and was not even been named in the squad that played Fulham last night in the League Cup.
He has previously been linked with a move to Fulham but reports claimed that the player would rather stay and fight for a place in the team.
However, latest reports claim that Bayern Munich have shown a surprise interest in signing the player.
Benjamin Pavard has left Bayern to join Inter Milan and the German club are in search for a defender before the transfer window ends.
According to talkSport, it is Harry Kane who recommended Dier to Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel.
The close relationship between Dier and Kane during their time at Tottenham could have influenced Kane’s recommendation to his new club.
The prospect of reuniting with his former teammate and joining a successful team like Bayern Munich could be appealing to Dier leading to change in stance regarding move way.
Harry Kane moved to Bayern Munich earlier this month after a summer long transfer saga for a whopping £100m. He has scored 3 goals and assisted 1 in 3 games for Bayern.
TBH Says:
It is quite evident that Dier is not going to play much at Spurs this season and if he gets a chance to reunite with Kane at a club like Bayern where he most certainly will win silverware, he would definitely take it.
