Report: Everton could be looking to pull the plug on Dele Alli stint at Goodison Park

Tottenham Hotspur decided to part ways with midfielder Dele Alli during the January transfer window. The 25-year-old left to join Everton FC, but The Toffees might want to part ways with Alli before they have to pay Spurs anything.

According to TEAMtalk, Everton is pondering if they want to keep Alli before they have to make the first payment of £10million is due once Alli has played 20 first-team games.

When Alli left for Goodison Park, Everton didn’t have to pay anything as the deal both parties agreed to could be worth up to £40million to Tottenham and would be paid in installments.

However, the former Spurs midfielder has yet to impress, which is why Everton is pondering parting ways with the England international. Alli has made six appearances with The Toffees since arriving on loan but has yet to score a goal or make an assist for his new club.

It will be interesting to see whether Everton does indeed pull the plug, especially if they’re relegated, as they’re three points away from the relegation zone.
