Report details the future of Harry Kane as Spurs hope to reunite with former midfielder

It seems as though Tottenham Hotspur will avoid a summer of Harry Kane transfer rumors with Manchester City poise to pursue Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland. As a result, the Times reports that the north London club is confident that the 28-year-old will remain.

Last summer, Manchester City failed in its bid to land Kane as they didn’t want to meet the asking price Tottenham was demanding for the striker. With them moving on to a young option, no other Premier League will be eyeing the England international this summer with the fund to him.

Furthermore, with Mauricio Pochettino not landing the job at Manchester United, it also seems that Old Trafford won’t be a destination for Kane. Along with keeping their striker, the report also suggests that they want to reunite Kane with a former midfielder, Christian Eriksen.

After suffering a cardiac arrest last summer, Eriksen left Inter Milan on a mutual termination of the contract, leading him to sign a six-month with Brentford in January. Since then, he’s impressed, and it seems both Spurs and manager Antonio Conte want to reunite.
