According to CMW, Antonio Conte wants to sign Edin Dzeko next summer.
The report states, Conte has identified Dzeko as a possible replacement for Kane if he leaves Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season.
The former Manchester City star’s contract ends in the summer and the report suggests that Spurs are interested in signing him on a free as the ‘the perfect replacement for Harry Kane’ who is linked with a move to Bayern Munich.
Dzeko who will turn 37 in March has not renewed his contract with Milan yet and there has been no ‘talks on a possible renewal’ either.
However the report adds that Dzeko’s priority is staying at Inter Milan but it is likely that the club will ‘decide to say goodbye to him next summer’. It also claims that ‘Dzeko is waiting for signals from the Inter management’ before making a decision regarding a return to the Premier League.
The Bosnian has scored a stunning 236 league goals in his career. He was known for being a super sub at Manchester City and played a huge part in their stunning comeback against QPR which won them their first league title of the new era!
Kane has not signed a new contract either with reports suggesting that he is monitoring Conte’s situation and will only sign if Conte stays at the club.
Antonio Conte’s contract is set to expire in the summer as well and the club still hasn’t agreed a new contract with him despite being interested in keeping the Italian at the club on a long term contract.
