Report: Arsenal accelerating their pursuit of Leeds United forward amid links to Spurs, Barcelona

Scoring depth behind their two star forwards, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min appears to be on the to-do list this summer for Tottenham Hotspur. The north London club is linked to various attacking players, including Leeds United winger Raphinha.

However, if the Brazilian is indeed a player Spurs has atop its list of candidates, they might have to begin scratching him off or accelerate their interest. According to The Times, Arsenal is eager to sign the 25-year-old despite interest from Tottenham and Barcelona.

Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano adds that Barcelona agreed to personal terms with Raphinha but no deal on a transfer fee with Leeds United. Meanwhile, Arsenal is in direct contact with their Premier League rival, who are asking up to £75 million for the forward.

As for Spurs, they and Chelsea remain in contact for the winger, but nothing else regarding intensified negotiations. Transfermarkt puts the winger’s value at £41 million, so Leeds United is asking for nearly double to let go of the Brazilian.

Raphinha appeared in 36 fixtures, where he scored 11 goals and recorded three assists.
