Report: Ange Postecoglou set to bring Celtic duo with him to Spurs

Tottenham’s managerial saga seems to coming to an end with latest reports by Fabrizio Romano claiming that they have reached verbal agreement with Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou.

According to Romano, Postecoglou will be signing an initial 2-year deal with an option to extend by another year.

He tweeted:

“New round of talks scheduled in the next 24/48h between Tottenham and CAA agency in order to complete the agreement for Ange Postecoglou.

Contract almost agreed, waiting on the final details to be sorted then it will be sealed.”

And as per the Daily Record, Postecoglou is keen to bring some of his trusted coaching staff from Celtic to Tottenham.

Backroom coaches John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan, who have played integral roles in Celtic’s success under Postecoglou, could be offered key positions at the North London club.

They have been an integral part of the success enjoyed under the leadership of Postecoglou and could be set to join him at Tottenham given the chance.

The report also states that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is expected to hold talks with him before he leaves for holidays tomorrow.

The deal is not 100% done yet as Tottenham still have to strike a deal with Celtic. The Scottish club are expected to demand a significant compensation for the Australian.

He has done a terrific job at Celtic winning 5 trophies in 2 years including a domestic treble this season.

The Australian manager’s track record suggests that he could bring a winning mentality and transformative approach to the North London club.
