Report: Antonio Conte will receive a major perk if Tottenham finishes in the top four

When Tottenham Hotspur decided to appoint Antonio Conte to the managerial position back in November, the Italian tactician was tasked with steering the squad back in the right direction. Spurs were heading off the rails under Nuno Espírito Santo, leading to his sacking.

Conte now has the north London one point away from clinching Champions League football for next season, and according to The Times (via Marca), the Italian tactician is in line for a £2.5-million bonus if his side secures fourth place.

The 52-year-old has picked up 53 points out of a possible 81, and Tottenham leapfrogged arch-rivals Arsenal into the fourth spot with their victory over Burnley last Sunday.

Although Conte won’t be upset with this bonus hitting his bank account, the Spurs manager wants to see the club invest to grab top talent that can compete for trophies. The manager has clarified to Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy that he wants at least six signings in the summer transfer window.
