Report: Antonio Conte provides six Serie A targets as Tottenham prepares spending spree

Antonio Conte is now in charge of Tottenham Hotspur, and the Italian tactician is ready to make the north London-based club spend a lot of money.

Conte is known for wanting clubs to invest a significant amount of money to build a squad that challenges for trophies. Various reports suggest that Conte wants a transfer budget of around £238-million to sign six players currently playing in Serie A.

According to Calciomercato, Conte wants Tottenham to spend roughly £136-million on Juventus, two-star players in Federico Chiesa and Matthijs de Ligt.

Meanwhile, Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the other targets Conte desires are ACF Fiorentina striker Dušan Vlahović as the Italian club want around £59-million for the 21-year-old whose contract expires.

Furthermore, the Italian media outlet adds that AC Milan central midfielder Franck Kessié is on their target list and Inter Milan center-back Stefan de Vrij, and Lazio right-back Manuel Lazzari.

It will be interesting to see how Tottenham funds these purchases and so which players get shipped out, whether Harry Kane or other marquee talents that Conte might deem expendable. It’s hard to imagine chairman Daniel Levy shelling out that amount of money with no sales to cover the cost.
