Report: Another Ligue 1 club expresses interest in Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris

Hugo Lloris’ contract expires in June, and the 35-year-old has yet to reach a contract extension with Tottenham Hotspur. However, manager Antonio Conte has remained confident that both parties can get a new deal in the past.

Nonetheless, there’s interest surrounded Lloris from French clubs hoping to lure him back to France. The latest Ligue 1 side to express interest in the veteran goalkeeper is Stade Rennais.

According to France Bleu Armorique (via Foot Mercato), no contact between the two parties has been made; Rennes’ shareholders have already discussed this matter, which is, however, proving to be very complicated mainly for financial reasons.

OGC Nice is the other French club that would like to bring back their former youth product. Both teams are fighting for a UEFA Champions League spot next season, Nice is in second place, but Rennes is two points behind with 31 points.

Perhaps whichever team can clinch a Champions League spot can have the financial resources to land Lloris with the payday that comes from qualifying for the tournament.
