The January transfer window closes in a few days, and one of the possible names that could be departing Tottenham Hotspur is defender Japhet Tanganga. AC Milan is keen on landing the 22-year-old defender.

However, the Serie A club wants a loan deal before they consider committing long-term to Tanganga. According to Sky Sports, the north London club is willing to meet AC Milan for a loan agreement, but the two clubs differ on the clause attached.

Sky Sports claims that Spurs would consider if it was a permanent deal or a loan with an obligation to buy. Last week, reports surfaced that the Italian club wants Tanganga on loan for the remainder of the season with an option to buy.

Tanganga didn’t have his best match against Chelsea as the defender won two of eight duels and only made six total passes in 57 minutes against The Blues last weekend.

It will likely be up to manager Antonio Conte to decide whether Tanganga is part of his plans as they advance in the project or give the green light for a departure.
