Tottenham’s young Spanish attacker Bryan Gil is currently experiencing a nightmare in England.
He’s having an awful time at both on and off the field, and Tottenham seems to have turned a blind eye to the situation.
Spurs signed the hugely talented Spaniard in 2021 but he has been given very limited playing time since his move.
He was loaned to Valencia last season where he hugely impressed and the Spanish club wanted to sign him again in the summer but Spurs blocked his move on deadline day.
And his request to be loaned out has been denied again this month, even after the signing of another attacker in Arnaut Danjuma.
This has left the player ‘frustrated’ and ‘feeling trapped’.
According to Relevo, the football player’s closest entourage shared with the publication that Bryan is not well in England. The source stated:
“It’s not just a professional issue, it’s personal. He doesn’t have any motivation to go to training, he’s not happy, and he doesn’t understand why he’s not allowed to leave.”
Despite having several loan options available, including one from Sevilla, Bryan has reached a point where he doesn’t care where he goes, as long as he leaves England.
The report further says:
“It doesn’t matter what options are presented to them for him to leave, they prefer to have him not playing. He is doing everything he can to get out because he needs to leave.”
Gil has not been able to adapt to the coldness of London, both personally and professionally, as the Spurs have not given him the opportunity to play.
The source adds: “Tottenham doesn’t care about Bryan’s emotional well-being and professionally he’s not given any playing time, he’s not allowed to leave either, and he doesn’t know why.”
Bryan’s proposed move to Valencia fell through on August 31st, despite Spurs giving him and Valencia their word that he would be allowed to leave.
And, even now, in January, despite barely featuring this season, he has not been granted the permission to leave, even with multiple loan proposals.
With the transfer window closing in two days, it remains unclear what the future holds for the talented player, as Tottenham’s position on the matter has not changed.
