Reasons to love Tottenham’s Big Ange

By The Boy -

It turns out that the Premier League isn’t quite the cruel mistress she is frequently made out to be, and the usual seasonal congestion of fixtures gently fizzled out to the point where Tottenham are enjoying a welcome break ahead of our FA Cup clash against the invariably tough Manchester City. Just how much we’ll get a chance to benefit from this respite is anyone’s guess.

So many players are either still ruled out entirely or vaguely categorized as ‘being assessed, that Ange Postecoglou’s position, if not heavily compromised, certainly feels ‘challenging’, at best. From a fan’s perspective, the key factor is to seek the best guidance when enjoying one’s picks with bet365, and securing the very best options. With Tottenham, not only are the possibilities endless, but the thrill factor under Big Ange has proven itself to be close to unrivalled team performance levels.

The way Ange Postecoglou has come in at Spurs and immediately taken the Premier League by storm has been nothing short of remarkable. The Aussie’s scintillating start in North London has been made all the more impressive by the fact legendary striker Harry Kane departed for Bayern Munich in a rather late, extremely high-profile move. The hard-nosed Aussie wasn’t one to get caught up in the drama of it all, instead preferring to just get stuck into the task at hand. And that he’s done, despite the challenges.

After so much uncertainty at the club, despite Daniel Levy hiring several high-profile coaches, Ange’s no-nonsense, and direct football philosophy, the man has shown some class!

Yes, the former Celtic gaffer has enjoyed plenty of success over the years managing the likes of Australia, Brisbane Roar, Melbourne Victory, and Yokohama F. Marinos, but he looks all geared up to be the right man to bring tangible success to Spurs.

Postecoglou is, arguably, far more tactically sophisticated than many Premier League coaches, wanting to control proceedings in all phases and being so progressive in his ideas, it’s been a joy to watch him work. As he said himself:

“Even when we’re keeping possession, I don’t want to see the ball move slowly. What does that mean? When we pass it, we pass it with purpose.”

Bringing the feel-good factor back to Spurs, getting the team playing in a pulsating manner, and allowing the fans to dream again, the work Postecoglou has already done has been a huge boost for everyone associated with the club.

Keeping up their outstanding form and continuing to improve will serve as telling challenges ahead, but for now, all looks promising at Spurs, with the departure of Kane getting overshadowed by Postecoglou’s ability to galvanize the squad and produce the goods in terms of results and style.

Exciting times certainly lie ahead for Spurs, with this new direction injecting some much-needed positivity after many difficult years full of negatives.
