‘Radical change’ in Tottenham player’s situation could lead to January exit

Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s future continues to be a subject of intense speculation, with Italian giants Juventus reportedly expressing interest in the Danish player.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus has conducted an initial inquiry into the potential transfer of Hojbjerg.

Hojbjerg, who was a key figure under former manager Antonio Conte, has experienced a ‘radical change’ in his situation at Spurs.

Under Ange Postecoglou’s management, he has seen limited playing time, mostly as a substitute, amassing just 80 minutes on the pitch so far this season.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is said to hold a strong interest in Hojbjerg, indicating a potential transfer target for the club.

The report suggests that the midfielder could become available in the January transfer window if a suitable agreement can be reached between Tottenham and interested parties.

Reports also suggest that Hojbjerg is growing increasingly frustrated with his situation at Tottenham and is looking for a new challenge.

He has even changed his agent, indicating his desire to explore new opportunities in either January or the upcoming summer transfer window.

Hojbjerg joined Tottenham in 2020 after impressing during his time at Southampton.

Since his arrival, he has been a consistent and reliable presence in the midfield.

Despite Atletico Madrid’s previous interest in him during the summer transfer window, a move did not materialise.

Now, with Juventus and Atletico Madrid both vying for his signature, and with Hojbjerg eager for a change, a transfer during the January window seems increasingly likely.
