Pundit ‘worried’ about Tottenham star could be a weak link against Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspur will take on Chelsea in the London Darby this weekend and Clinton Morrison has shared his doubts regarding Pedro Porro’s defensive credentials.

Morrison has revealed while speaking to Premier League productions that Pedro Porro has been a quality signing for Tottenham and he is a fan of the defender. However, the Spaniard can be vulnerable defensively and that could cause Tottenham problems against Chelsea.

Morrison seems worried that the likes of Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk could exploit Porro’s defensive vulnerabilities on Monday night.

“It’s a difficult one but if Sterling plays on the left I’ll be more worried about Sterling or Mudryk. One of those two because I like Porro, but I don’t think he’s a good defender, but he’s good going forwards, but we have Romero, Van de Ven and Udogie,” Morrison said.

The full-back has been quite impressive going forward and it remains to be seen whether he can improve defensively as well.

Tottenham have started the season really well and they are on top of the league table. They will want to sustain the title challenge until the end of the season and they need a reliable defensive unit in order to compete with clubs like Arsenal and Manchester City.

Pedro Porro is certainly a talented player and he will look to cut out the mistakes from his game and improve as a player in the coming months. Spurs did well against Arsenal earlier this season and they will be hoping to pick up a win against Chelsea this time.

Porro has the ability to establish himself as one of the best full-backs in the league and he is young enough to improve in the coming months as well.
