Pundit Seriously Questions Nuno’s Stance With One Senior Tottenham Player|video

By The Boy -

talkSPORT’s Darren Ambrose isn’t convinced with the strategy of Nuno Espírito Santo in respect of striker Harry Kane. I have to say, I’m in agreement with the pundit, why on earth would a new manager not reach out to all his personnel, just to say hello and so forth? It strikes me as if Levy’s strategy is to ignore the problem and in the hope that it goes away. If this were the case, then I take a view that the collision course I spoke of previously, will turn out to be seismic.

100%, no true ‘fan’ would allow such neglect to take place on the football side.

Him saying he’s a fan is a bit like CEO of Sainsbury saying that he’s a fan of their range of soups. I think we’ve all tumbled that it’s just a charade after over 20 years of this cr*p…

By the way, the people that used to stick up for Levy’s methods, where are they now? Eating their humble pie methinks…

Total mess…

Average years. Chelsea has approximately 20 or 21 managers in 21 years. Google it before u throw stuff at me. Also, Spurs were never a predominant top six team over those year. Poch increase that over a 5 yrs period winning nothing. And even then Spur may have 19 or 20 managers winning only the FA and league cup.

I am of the same belief. Why talk about a player that is not here. I would find repulsive if in fact they have not exchanged pleasantries.

All the top flight clubs do. The difference is winning. Most managers in the top 6 clubs dating back more that 25 years are 1 1/2 to 2 years. 3 full season is a stretch. Check out Chelsea last 5 managers for example. Like I said, the difference is they win we don’t, but ridding managers is not just us.

Or get a ‘ Tottenham Hotspur ‘ lobotomy job at the back of some vets until enic finally leave and then get it reversed.

Agree. He’s been there long enough to pick up the “let’s slow everything right down and pour water on any enthusiastic links to half decent players” philosophy carried out from Desperate Dan at the top and filtered down through the entire hierarchy. When I say pour water I mean drip drip not full pressure fire hose stuff. 70 odd days to bring Nuno in as 5th or even 6th choice, at least a month trying to get the Bologna player in and the links to so many other players are here one minute in an excited swarm of “nearly done’s” only to evaporate during the following weeks to a chorus of “not prepared to” or “player unsure of ambition” or “gap from offer to the asking price is too…” bla bla. The moral of this embarrassing management of expectations story is simply not to engage in gossip and wait for deals to be done or more likely not done.

Our chairman is an accountant, just looks at the bottom line and makes sure all the share holders get a dividend every season.

He knows that the demand for season tickets will always be greater than the 42K available.

Yes it is a complete mess, Enic’s 20 years of custodianship has always been about property portfolio first and foremost.

He says he’s a fan, but that charade has been seen through by his shenanigans.

Nuno already looks like a beaten man, his profile and and the way he came in being not even a fifth choice means the guy is already undermined by the whole situation..

Situation is such a complete mess, we’ve got a best player wanting to leave, we’ve got a manager didn’t even want, we’ve got a squad that needs rebuilding. Should this really be the situation getting on for two years after moving into ‘The Best Stadium in the world? The situation is just horrible for all involved, I really hope that Daniel is having a good look at himself in the mirror actually considering what a complete pillock he’s been in all of this.

One thing is for certain, Nuno wont last very long at the club. We go through managers like a baby goes through reusable nappies.

I already feel sorry for Nuno, seems like a good guy in all the interviews I’ve seen.

He appears to already have had his hands tied by the politics of Levy/Enic, be very surprised if we bring in any vast improvements of the squad, and be lumbered with the same deadwood for another season.

Not inspired by his comment saying everyone starts with a clean slate.

Will still be expected a top four finish and be jettisoned for the board’s incompetence.

Maybe a wild punt but I guess he had/has spoken to Harry but simply said he hadn’t to avoid the obvious questions?
