Don Hutchison has picked Tottenham skipper Heung-min Son over Manchester City striker Erling Haaland on current form.
Son has been on superb form this season having already scored 6 league goals in 8 games for Spurs. This included a hat-trick against Burnley, a brace against Arsenal and one against Liverpool.
He also won the Premier League player of the month award for September.
Meanwhile Erling Haaland is currently undergoing a small blip in form.
He has not scored for City since his goal against Nottingham Forest in September.
Speaking about the in-form players, Hutchinson stated that while there is no doubt that Haaland is the best striker in world football – on current form, the likes of Son, Salah and Isak are performing much better than the Manchester City man.
The pundit told ESPN FC:
“You can’t say he’s [Haaland] on top form, can you? In eight games, you can’t. If the question is, who do you think the best striker in world football and the Premier League is, it’s Erling Haaland.”
“But who’s been in amazing form in the first eight games of the season? It’s Son, Isak and Salah.”

Erling Haaland is indeed the best finisher in world football but Son is much more than just a finisher.
He has turned up in big games unlike Haaland and is on an excellent form.
