Pundit claims Tottenham man is ‘struggling’ and ‘finding it hard’ at Spurs

Spurs are on to a flying start in the Premier League under Ange Postecoglou.

They are unbeaten in the league, having won 6 and drawing 2 and currently sit on the top of the table.

For the first time since Mauricio Pochettino, they look like a team with an identity, playing a much more attractive brand of football and the mood around the club seems extremely positive.

The players who weren’t performing under previous managers look to be back to their best under the Australian.

There are a certain exceptions and that includes Richarlison.

The Brazilian has found it hard since signing for Spurs from Everton in a big money move last year. He only scored once in the league all season.

Many thought he would improve under Ange but bar a a couple of performances, he has not been able to impress.

Speaking on The Game Football Podcast, Tony Cascarino discussed Tottenham as Premier League title contenders. He believes one of the reasons Spurs are not title contenders at the moment is because of struggling players like Richarlison.

Cascarino said:

“No, not at the moment. Richarlison is struggling, for whatever reason he is finding it hard. Son was really quiet in the game. I keep going back to that point, a player who can make the difference in a moment to enable a victory.”

TBH Says:

Tottenham fans are running out of patience with Richarlison who has failed to step up this season.

He had a great moment against Sheffield United with many believing it to be the turning point to his career at Spurs but he has not been able to build up to it.
