Pundit claims Tottenham key man has never played as badly as he did against Luton

By Saikat -

Popular pundit Tony Cascarino has opened up on the performance of Tottenham Hotspur striker Son Heung-min against Luton Town.

The north London giants picked up a narrow win over Luton yesterday but their overall performance was quite mediocre.

Son has been in splendid form this season scoring 6 goals in 8 league matches. However, he looked like a shadow of his former self yesterday and his performance was rather underwhelming.

Cascarino has now revealed that he has not seen the South Korean international perform as poorly as he did against Luton.

Cascarino said: “I can’t remember Son playing [that badly], he was just not the Son we know he can be and he’s been brilliant at times this season.

“Richarlison, I don’t know what they do with Richarlison because it feels like he just hasn’t got a good game in him at the moment.

“He’s just not playing to the level that he would want as a manager.”

Son is clearly a player in form right now and Tottenham fans will be expecting much better from him.

The 31-year-old will be expected to carry the Tottenham attack this season, especially after the departure of Harry Kane.

He is undoubtedly the best attacker at the club right now and he will need to step up more consistently especially when players like Richarlison are struggling to hit top form.

Son will be fully aware of his mediocre performance against Luton and the South Korean will be determined to bounce back strongly in the coming matches.

The 31-year-old is a world-class player on his day and Tottenham will rely on him to step up and deliver more often so that they can have an impressive campaign and return to the Champions League at the end of the season.
