The provisional squad for tonight’s Champions League game between Red Star Belgrade and Tottenham Hotspur is as follows*:
Michel Vorm, Paulo Gazzaniga, Ben Davies, Danny Rose, Juan Foyth, Japhet Tanganga, Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier, Ryan Sessegnon, Moussa Sissoko, Oliver Skipp, Tanguy Ndombele, Christian Eriksen, Giovani Lo Celso, Dele Alli, Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura, Harry Kane, and Troy Parrott.
*This information is based upon the video footage we brought you earlier from the club’s travel video, Day One In Belgrade.
Notable absences include Harry Winks and Serge Aurier.
Mauricio Pochettino was reported as being a tad touchy on Tuesday night’s presser in Belgrade, when asked about who had not travelled.
I’m struggling as to why he is being so thin skinned, as Harry Winks has not been exceptional of late, and Juan Foyth has played at right back on numerous occasions this season, including against Everton, last weekend.
Erik Lamela is out with a hamstring injury. Which is definitely bad news. Lamela had a hand in 3 of our 5 goals against RSB last time out (One goal, Two assists).
The Argentine was also directly involved in 8 goals in his 8 CL starts for the club, scoring 2 and assisting 6.
Kick off: 06 Nov 2019, 20:00
TV: BT Sport 2
League: UEFA Champions League
Stadium: Stadion Rajko Mitić
Referee: Carlos Del Cerro Grande
This is likely to be a strange occasion as our hosts are still on this UEFA ban business and are not supposed to have any fans inside the ground.
Red Star are @4/1, the draw is @3/1 and a Tottenham win is @8/13. This should be a straightforward affair, but who truly knows?
I would advise against backing another landslide win and instead have a more modest tickle, like BTTS – result draw 0 which is @4/1.
