Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Oliver Skipp has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

According to journalist Sami Mokbel, Leicester City are very keen on signing the central midfielder and they are now accelerating efforts to get the deal done. Tottenham are reportedly open to selling the player for the right price.

It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can agree on a deal in the remaining days of the window.

Tottenham will not be able to provide Skipp with regular game time this season, and it makes sense for them to sanction his departure. The 23-year-old needs to play regularly at this stage of his career and Leicester City will be able to provide him with that platform.

The Foxes have been promoted to the Premier League and they will look to cement their place as top flight regulars now. They need quality players in order to do well this season and Skipp could prove to be a superb addition. The 23-year-old will add control, composure, and technical ability to the side. The midfielder will be desperate to play regularly and the opportunity to move to Leicester City will be quite attractive for him.

It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can work out a deal quickly. Skipp cannot afford to sit on the bench at Tottenham at this stage of his career and he needs to focus on his development. Leaving the North London club permanently would be the right move for all parties.
