Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Atalanta midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi in recent months.
The 29-year-old attacking midfielder was linked with a move to Spurs at the start of the season but the transfer did not materialize.
According to a report from calciomercato, the player continues to be linked with Tottenham and he dreams of joining Antonio Conte’s side this month.
However London rivals West Ham United have now joined the transfer race and it will be interesting to see if they can convince him to join the club over the next few weeks.
The midfielder has a contract with the Italian club until 2023 and the Italian outfit are likely to cash in on him this month if an offer arrives.
The 29-year-old Ukrainian midfielder has been an important player for Atalanta since joining the club.
The midfielder is reportedly looking to try out a new challenge and a move to the Premier League will be an attractive option for him.
If Tottenham do not come forward with an acceptable offer for the player in the coming weeks, he could be tempted to join West Ham instead.
David Moyes’s side have had a poor season so far and they will need to bring in January reinforcements in order to get their season back on track.
Meanwhile, Tottenham need to add more creativity to their midfield and someone like Malinovskyi would add a new dimension in the middle of the park.
The 29-year-old is at the peak of his career and he will be expected to make an immediate impact if he moves to the Premier League this month.
