Premier League Already Set A Precedent With Foxes|Arsenal Postponement Looks Increasingly Likely

While many fans are agitating each other online, I’ve only noticed one broadcaster SKY SPORTS to have reminded fans which is sure marks a precedent this season, in respect of postponing games. Arsenal will have undoubtedly been aware of this, and so the chances of the North London Derby going ahead look bleak.

So my piece yesterday outlining all self-inflicted in-nature absences at Arsenal is somewhat redundant, given that the sport’s chiefs have already a precedent – which includes non-Covid reasons for teams being depleted.

I take a view that A, in the first instance, the reporting of this situation has been generally poor, bar Sky and anyone else who bothered to do some homework. And B, the Premier League have created a rod for their own back moving forward.

Premier League clubs could well seek to exploit this self-made loophole, which is bound to infuriate broadcasters, subscribers, and fans generally.

Will the League also now postpone games when internationals clash with the domestic schedule?

A can of worms.

And the destruction by landfill trying to bury all the batteries that you can’t recycle. It’ll be electric for about 15 years and when it gets too challenging an unworkable, they’ll switch to bio-fuels and make your electric car obsolete. In the meantime global warming has gotten worse…

Exactly, you know what AFCON means for a player every winter when you sign them, if you have no contingency then that’s nobody’s fault your own. They loaned out a few, Granite got red carded and he a have a few with a positive PCR. Play the game, you can put out a side and get on with it.

More bonkers and ineffective Covid legislation. We are now in the endemic phase, grow up and grow a pair ffs…

The world is full of worm-cans being opened these days. It’s all about opportunism, even the green agenda has been hijacked by the corporations; “Buy an electric vehicle to help save the planet” what they decide not to divulge is that these vehicles and all their components are made using exclusively coal-fired power which is the biggest single reason for global warming.

it’s all opportunism, spin and con to get hold of your cash etc…

It’s all so plastic now. One might get more out of following Dagenham & Redbridge than a soul harvesting con that ENIC have turned us into.

We haven’t got a team fit to play in this enormadome they’ve built, what was their plan beyond building the f*cker? It’s clear they never even thought about it…

I think it was Ralf Hassleinthehut who has said that only players available for the original fixture should be allowed to play in the rearranged game.

4 games we have to make up some how as the prem will not extend the league timetable. So basically if you have one Covid and a few injuries you can cancel the game what a joke

Question: At what point do us mugs get off this train of: ENIC/Levy, corrupt cancels, VAR, fifa “fair” play, 100 quid plastic kits and so on?

We thought VAR was bad. Now this cretinous precedent is like you write, ‘a can of worms’.

What a farce… I really did believe they would not agree but they did!
They loaned out two players and now they dont have a squad to play? Rubbish. What about having a 25 player squad. AFCON and othere injuries are self inflicted and have nothing to do with COVID.

I really hope we do what Renne did to us by not agreeing on a re arranged date forcing UEFA to abandom the match.

We already have enough games in hand, so when do they think we can actually play this match? Do we get to cancel it next round if the fixture doesnt suit us? Maybe wait for us to have all players fully fit?

Get the game abandommed and give us a 3-0 victory

So now if you have a big fixture and maybe your form has dipped a little and your top striker is out injured and you’d really fancy your chances much better in a month this is what you do.

Nice, welcome to the future of the Premier League. You can have squads of thirty, academies jam packed with players and you can’t field a team.

I remember the sympathy Man United got from the Football League after Munich. They were told to field a team or else.

IF it’s off , it’s very convenient for them with their next game being the 2nd leg semi-final next Thursday, I’m absolutely certain they will have enough players for that, stinks.

Makes the 25 man rule seem redundant. Maybe make it 30 with a 15 minimum to play. Surely having 15 out would be unprecedented

I’m sure we had a request to postpone a game due to players in the AFCON under Redknaps tenure. Or did I imagine it

Once again all the fans who were coming from outside the UK and the fans in the UK who had booked hotel accommodation in London to make a weekend of it they can just get lost.

I saw it mentioned on another blog old Scrooge has increased food and drink prices by seven per cent at the nameless stadium and done away with older age and youth concessions.

That’s what counts really. The bottom line.
Turn down those gas lights and don’t put any coal on that fire Cratchit.

Arsenal only want it postponed because they had to play Thursday night whilst we played Wednesday night and hence had an extra days rest. At this rate every club who has injuries or players at the ACON will go crying to the FA blaming covid. I believe Arsenal have very few covid cases? It’s not Spurs fault that Arsenal recruited so many African players or Xhaka can’t control himself and got red carded is it?

Total piddle take and they know it.
On a previous post about how Tottenham is structured into different company’s with the link that was added…….https://www.thstofficial.com/thst-news/understanding-the-ownership-and-corporate-structure-of-tottenham-hotspur
Can anyone answer what happens to the money if its hired out for a fight or concert etc and who gets the general match day profit from food /beer sales .
Basically im think as mince but would like to know ,not sure the link actually answers it to be fair as its probably a ENIC secret.

Have we not had to deal with Covid, and injuries from Internationals (Romero, Lo Celso) and subsequent quarantine absences plus absences for the Africa Cup of Nations and the Asian Cup? I do not recall us being given any consideration then?

The requested postponement is to enable Arsenal to prepare more fully for their second leg semi final with Liverpool on Thursday. It is a disgraceful attempt to pool the wool over the eyes of the FA.
