Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou is likely to make a number of changes to his playing squad ahead of the new season.
According to a report from Evening Standard, there could be a mass exodus from the North London club in the next few weeks. Apparently, eight first-team players could be on their way out of the club.
First-team players like Hugo Lloris, Ivan Perisic and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg could all be sold if the right offer is presented.
In addition to that, the likes of Davinson Sanchez, Ryan Sessegnon, Sergio Reguilon, Giovanni Lo Celso and Joe Rodon could also move on this summer.
It is evident that these players are unlikely to start regularly for Tottenham next season and it makes sense for them to move on.
The likes of Lloris and Sanchez were quite underwhelming last season and Spurs need to bring in better players. On the other hand, Hojbjerg and Perisic were quite impressive but Spurs are prepared to cash in on them.
As for the likes of Rodon, Reguilon, and Lo Celso, they were out on loan last season and they do not find themselves in the first-team plans of the new manager.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can get rid of their deadwood and bring in the necessary reinforcements before the new season begins.
Spurs will have to strengthen the squad adequately in order to do well next season and get back into the Champions League. They will be hoping to use the proceeds from the sales in order to bring in quality signings.
