Postecoglou has left Spurs man at home for Barcelona pre-season game

By Mehdi Gokal -

Harry Kane’s status continues to be a focal point of attention, as he will not be involved in Tottenham’s game against Barcelona tonight, as reported by Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol.

This development follows the recent news of Tottenham rejecting Bayern Munich’s latest bid of €100 million for the striker.

While Bayern reportedly intends to return with an improved offer in the range of £100 million plus add-ons, Kane’s absence from the Barcelona match doesn’t appear to be connected to the transfer negotiations.

Solhekol clarifies that several players who were part of the game against Shakhtar Donetsk are also not traveling for this match. He further emphasises that Kane is enjoying his time under the new manager, Ange Postecoglou.

Solhekol’s tweet reads:

“Harry Kane not travelling to Barcelona. Nothing to do with potential transfer. Lot of players involved in Sunday’s game not travelling. Kane is enjoying life under new head coach and right now it’s looking more likely that he’s staying.”

Kane’s importance to Tottenham was evident in their previous match against Shakhtar Donetsk, where he scored four out of five goals in a 5-1 victory.

Reports suggest that Kane has set a personal deadline for Bayern to agree on a fee by the end of this week.

If an agreement is not reached, he is prepared to stay at Tottenham, indicating his commitment to the club for the upcoming season.

The ongoing transfer saga continues to be the talking point around Spurs, with uncertainty surrounding whether Kane will make a move to Bayern Munich or remain at Tottenham.
