Popular Pundit Jamie O’Hara has now revealed that he wishes Tottenham Hotspur had signed Christian Eriksen at the start of the season.

The 30-year-old midfielder joined Manchester United at the start of the season and he has been exceptional for the Red Devils so far.

He impressed with Brentford last season and Manchester United snapped him up in order to add more creativity to their side.

Speaking on Sky Sports News about the 30-year-old, O’Hara said: “Eriksen has been fantastic for them. He’s been a good signing.

“I would have loved to have seen him back at Spurs. But you know he’s gone there and been really good.

“Gutted to see him injured because he’s had a terrible time with what he’s gone through, and he’s picked up an injury.

“It was a bad foul from Andy Carroll and you felt for him.”

The Denmark international has managed to make an immediate impact at Old Trafford and he has established himself as a key player for Manchester United.

The 30-year-old has two goals and nine assists across all competitions for the Red Devils and manager Erik ten Hag will certainly miss him over the next few months following his injury blow.

Tottenham could certainly use more creativity in the middle of the park and Eriksen would have been an exceptional acquisition.

The midfielder is already a fan favourite at the London club and he would have settled in nicely under Antonio Conte.

Spurs have been linked with players like Nicolo Zaniolo in recent months and Eriksen would have been a superb addition.

The midfielder was on the receiving end of a poor tackle from Reading striker Andy Carroll and he is set to be sidelined for several weeks.

The midfielder could return to action at the start of May and his absence will certainly be a huge blow for Manchester United who are looking to secure Champions League qualification and win a domestic trophy this season.
