Poor finances will force Tottenham to sell in the summer even if they make the Champions League

Tottenham has some top quality players in their squad and has had it that way for a very long time.

The Lilywhites have the likes of Son Heung-min and Harry Kane, players that other top teams would be glad to steal from them.

In their bid to win trophies and remain within the circle of top European teams, Spurs have kept hold of those stars.

But these are trying times in the world of football after the coronavirus pandemic has wiped off so much money from the finances of teams.

Spurs are expecting to lose around £150million if fans remain away from the stadiums this season, a prediction Daniel Levy made in their last financial report.

With that in mind and no naming rights for their stadium yet, Spurs are inevitably going to sell one of their top players in the summer.

This revelation comes from Football Insider who adds that it would still happen even if they finish inside the top four and secure a Champions League return.

Kane and Son are two of the biggest stars at the club, but they are also the driving force of their recent successes.

Fans will pray none of both players leaves. They could also sell Hugo Lloris and Dele Alli if better offers come, but none would fetch the same money as either attacker.
