Pochettino favours a move for former Tottenham star instead of Alli

Sports Mail says that Mauricio Pochettino favours a move for Christian Eriksen over Dele Alli because it will be much easier for the Dane to move to Paris.

Alli has been out of the Tottenham starting XI for much of this season after failing to reach the required standards under Jose Mourinho.

PSG wanted to sign him on loan in the summer, but Spurs rebuffed their offers on numerous occasions.

Alli remained at the club with the hopes of winning back a place in the first team, but that hasn’t happened.

This month offers him the chance to change teams and as Poch has just been made the manager of PSG, he is expected to return for the Englishman.

However, the report says that he also wants a reunion with Eriksen who moved from Tottenham to Inter Milan about a year ago.

He thinks that it will be easier to land Eriksen given that the Dane is already on the transfer list at Inter having failed to make an impression in the Italian side.

Poch will be supported by PSG to bring in the players that he needs, but Alli will not be so easy to sign unless Daniel Levy is in agreement.

Although he isn’t playing, Spurs consider him a huge part of their team and they are banking on him to return to form rather than selling him.
