Player ‘waiting’ for Tottenham to ‘make a decision’ on his future, loan move likely

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur signed Luka Vuskovic from Hajduk Split at the start of the season.

The 16-year-old joined the club for a fee of around €11 million, but he will not be able to play for Tottenham until 2025. He will now look to continue his development with regular football until he turns 18 and moves to the Premier League club.

According to a report from Slobodna Dalmacija, the player is ‘waiting’ for Tottenham to ‘make a decision’ regarding his future. The 16-year-old needs to play at a high level to continue his development and therefore a loan move is on the cards. Clubs in the Netherlands and Belgium are under consideration as Tottenham look to sort out his short-term future.

The North London club will make the decision with agreement from the player’s family.

The defender is highly rated in European football and he has a big future ahead of him. He could develop into a key player for Tottenham with the right coaching and guidance. Tottenham must focus on his development for now and let him improve as a footballer with regular first team action. It will be interesting to see where he heads out on loan this month.

If he manages to fulfil his potential with Spurs in the coming seasons, he could end up saving the millions in the transfer market. The North London outfit are in need of defensive depth and he could be a key player for them for the foreseeable future.
