Some Tottenham fans want to see Joe Rodon play more often despite watching him play in the loss against Vitesse Arnhem last night.
The club celebrated his 24th birthday on their Twitter account and the post gave a number of fans the chance to ask for more playing time for him.
Some of them even believe that he should be ahead of Eric Dier in the pecking order. Here are some reactions:
The Boy Hotspur says
Rodon may have been on the losing side yesterday, but he wasn’t our worst player on the night.
He would still feel he missed another chance to stake a claim for a first-team spot because of failing to earn a clean sheet in that game.
However, Dier has proven over the years that he is not one of the best defenders at the club.
It is strange that every manager keeps him in the team, even though he is prone to occasional errors and that includes Nuno.
That means Rodon will need to keep impressing in the cup competitions and prepare to take his chance in the league if an opportunity eventually does come.
