Plausible Spurs XI To Beat Burnley|graphic

By The Boy -

Good morning and welcome to another day in the life of Daniel Levy’s IN tray. This afternoon we play Burnley who are currently 15th in the table and as we have learned from recent run-ins with teams beneath us nothing is guaranteed this season, bar the date in the top right-hand corner.

Burnley have picked up just 12 points on the road this season, yet interestingly, ten of those 12 points came at sides situated between sixth and 13th ahead of this game week. Additionally, they conceded just one goal across those five matches. So tough to score against and quite handy at raising their game. Terrific.

Must win cos looks as though even Arsenal might go above today….

And remember everyone…”Staying apart keeps us together”

Even Orwell couldn’t have said it better.😶

“Nothing to fear except fear itself” (or a CB pairing of Dire & Dier).
2-0

Can’t see Dele starting, not the team to be trying flicks and tricks against. They’ll give one Hundred per cent, will we?

Unless there is a valid explanation, given his solid last performance against Sheff Utd Rodon’s absence is quite bizarre!!

To be fair, it’s our style as well, lumping it up to Kane / Son

The Jekyll and Hyde team. A full moon in the night sky. Id unleash the Welshman against em first half. You know he will keep Dier in. Apart from that the usual suspects up front and Fu Man Chu on the right. Even start Davies on the left to get an outbreak of laughter from the away team dressing room and a sudden change of tactics by the Dycheman.

Win please to keep track. Pretty please.

Rodon hasn’t been near the squad of late.Does anyone know if he is even available. We could use his height against their battering ram forwards.

Impressive Pope in goal, marshalled by Ben Mee, pretty well organised in Defence plus lumping it to Chris Wood up top is their style!!

Whilst I share your concerns I believe the Government approach is correct!

Given our woeful PL form of late not knowing where our next victory is coming from, admittedly not pretty but I’d settle for an ugly 1-0 win!!

Yes H, I would go with that selection, apart from Gareth for Bergwijn. Unfortunately it won’t happen though. I expect to see the usual dross CB pairing of Dire and Direr! I must admit though, for once, I have a positive vibe about this game! … so we’ll probably lose! … lol

Cautious? The whole world is back open pretty much. Britain is the rowdy prisoner with a reputation being broken down and abused.

I like the look of that team ..will Jose though? Let’s hope so..bring Bale on second half if we’re fluffing our lines again.

Frustrating as it is I prefer our cautious approach of sticking to the Road Map!!

Currently languishing in 9th position last season was it 5-0 or 5-1 to the Spurs?

Sadly given that he is one of the first names on the team sheet there is no suggestion that Dier will be dropped?

Yes Bale must start today and begin to earn some of them wages.

Agreed bar No 9: Bale instead of Bergwijn.
