Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing the Fiorentina attacker Nicolas Gonzalez.
According to a report from 90 min, Tottenham and Newcastle United are keen on signing the Argentine attacker and they have already registered their interest in the player.
However, Premier League outfit Leicester City have made the first move to sign the player and they have already submitted a £30 million bid for the versatile forward, who can play anywhere across the front three.
Gonzalez has 5 goals across all competitions this season and it will be interesting to see if the 24-year-old is willing to move to Leicester before the January window closes.
Tottenham signed Richarlison from Everton at the start of the season for a considerable amount of money and it would be quite surprising if they decided to invest in another attacker midway through the season.
Antonio Conte might not be able to guarantee regular game time for the Argentine attacker if he moves to the Premier League. The Londoners already have Richarlison, Son Heung-Min, Harry Kane and Dejan Kulusevski at their disposal. The likes of Lucas Moura and Bryan Gil have barely had the opportunity to play this season.
Gonzalez is better off joining a club where he will get regular game time.
On top of that, Tottenham need to improve their defence and midfield instead of splashing out on another forward. Bringing in a quality right back and a creative midfielder should be their top priority in the upcoming windows.
