Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon was on loan at Manchester United during the first half of the season.
The player has now returned to his parent club and the 27-year-old is being linked with the January move to another club now. A report from Daily Mail claims that Brentford are keen on signing the defender and they are currently in talks to sign the player on loan.
Reguilon has had a tough time at Tottenham since moving to England. He has not been able to hold down a regular starting spot at the north London club under multiple managers and he does not have a future at Tottenham. It will be interesting to see if the North London outfit can sell him permanently in the coming months.
If he can impress during his loan spell at Brentford, he might be able to secure a good move at the end of the season. There is no doubt that he has a quality to do well in a top league, and he has previously shown that in La Liga.
The move to Tottenham has not worked out for him and he could use a fresh start right now.
As for Tottenham, they should look to cut their losses on him and invest the proceeds from the sale on a player who can help the team improve. They already have a number of options in the left back department and Reguilon is unlikely to be able to force his way into their first team plans.
